
Christina Applegate, born November 25, 1971, is an American actress. As a child actress , she was recognized for playing the character of Kelly Bundy on Fox's sitcom Married... with Children (1987-1997). Applegate enjoyed a successful career in television and film. She was awarded a Primetime Emmy Award for seven nominations. In addition, she received four Golden Globe Awards nominations and one Tony Award. Applegate was a star in the lead role in Jesse, the NBC sitcom Jesse (1998-2000) in which she earned her an Golden Globe Award nomination. Applegate was awarded a Primetime Emmy Award for her part as a guest on the NBC sitcom Friends (2002-2003). The show was also nominated for the Tony Award as Best Actress in a Musical for her performance in Sweet Charity (2005). She went on to star in the ABC sitcom Samantha Who? Later, she starred on ABC's sitcom Samantha Who (2007-2009) in which she was nominated for two Primetime Emmy Award and the Golden Globe Award; the NBC sitcom Up All Night (2012); and the Netflix drama series Dead to Me (2019-2022), for which she was nominated for three Primetime Emmy Award nominations.
