Salma Hayek

SalmaSalma Hayek Pinault (born Salma Valgarma Hayek-Jimmyenez, September 2, 1966)[3][4][5[3][4][5) is an American and Mexican actress. Her professional career began in Mexico, where she starred in the telenovela Teresa (1989-1991), and the romantic drama El Callejon de los Milagros (1995) which resulted in an Ariel Award nomination. From Dusk till Dawn (1996), Wild Wild West (1999), Dogma (1999) and Desperado (1995) are just some of her many Hollywood credits. Hayek's portrayal of Frida painter in Frida (2002) and Frida (2002), which she also wrote in the film, made Hayek the first Mexican actress to receive the Academy Award [6]. It also earned her an Golden Globe Award, Screen Actors Guild Award and British Academy Film Award nominations. Hayek continued to make films as well as starring in action films like Once Upon a Time in Mexico later on in her career.
